Richard Wilson, BBA, CA
Richard
received his BBA from Simon Fraser University in 1996 and his CA
designation in 1997.
Richard was raised on the Sunshine Coast but moved to Vancouver in 1992
to attend University and work. In 1997, Richard moved back to the
Sunshine Coast with his wife and (now four) children and has lived on the
Sunshine Coast since.
Richard joined Brian Beecham in 2002 to become Beecham Wilson, after nine years of work with our
affiliate firm Mackay LLP including four years in which he commuted into
Vancouver to work.
Beecham Wilson, CA's combined with Doug Cameron & Associates, CGA to become The Coast Group Chartered Accountants in 2006.
Actively involved in his community, Richard is currently the treasurer
for the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation and is a member of the Board
of Directors of the Sunshine Coast Credit Union.

Robert E. Flux, CA, CPA (Illinois), CFP
Rob received his CA
designation in 1999, his CFP designation in 2001, and completed the
three-year Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in-depth tax
program in 2001.
Rob moved to Gibsons in 2007 with his wife Christina and dog
Chewy to enjoy the lifestyle that the Coast offers, and to join the Coast
Group CA's. In 2008, Rob and Christina welcomed their daughter into this
world, and in 2010 their son.
Rob has gained a diverse range of experience managing and planning the
taxability of all sizes of companies by working with some of the largest
CA firms in Canada, and also with a public company for three years. Rob
has specialized in owner-manager taxation and estate planning since 2005.
In the community, Rob is a director of the Sechelt Downtown Business
Association and he is always happy to present tax topics for various
local groups and businesses. |

Lisa Kennedy, CGA
Lisa
received her Diploma in Business Management from Capilano College in 1992
and her CGA designation in 1998.
Lisa has been working as a Senior Manager of The Coast Group until
September of 2010 when she became a principal of the firm. Lisa has
fifteen years of public practice accounting experience, and the part of
her work she finds most fulfilling is building enduring business
relationships with her clients.
Lisa grew up on the Sunshine Coast and currently lives in West Sechelt
with her husband and two children. When not at the office Lisa spends
time with her family enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking and
camping. |

Kristine Flag, CGA
Kristine
Flag received a BComm from the University of Northern BC in 2003 and her
CGA designation in 2009.
Kristine grew up on the Sunshine Coast but left to attend university and
work. In 2005, Kristine moved back to the sunshine coast and began
working for Doug Cameron, before The Coast Group, CA's came to be.
Kristine had her second child in 2009 and returned to work in January
2010. When not working part-time, Kristine enjoys spending time with her
family and taking advantage of what the coast life has to offer. |

Nadia Craye, CA, CPA (Illinois)
Nadia
received her B.Comm with Distinction at McGill University in 2007 and
later both her Diploma in Chartered Accountancy with Honours at Concordia
University and her CA designation in 2009.
Nadia has worked in both small and multinational public firms, namely
KPMG LLP, having an extensive experience in audit (assurance), advisory
and special projects. She has as well enjoyed teaching and mentoring
accounting students. Nadia is also fluent in French and Russian.
She joined the firm in 2010 as our Audit Manager. She and her huband David actively enjoy hiking and fishing.
Nadia also loves to read, travel, design cakes and volunteer.

Alex Goddard, CA
Alex received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2004. Upon completing her articling at MNP in Chilliwack, Alex obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in January of 2009. Alex has a background in small and medium size business and enjoys helping cients with their various accounting needs.
Alex moved to the Sunshine Coast in September of 2011 to achieve a more balanced lifestyle. In her spare time she enjoys exploring with her camera, taking in all the amazing views the Coast has to offer. In the spring and summer Alex enjoys playing softball, a sport she's enjoyed for 24 years.

Nicole Turlington, A.C.I.A.
Nicole was raised in Pender Harbour and has been employed with The Coast Group, CA's since graduating high school in 1990. At that time she worked with Brian Beecham, who has since retired from the firm. Nicole has successfully completed her Advanced Certificate in Accounting (A.C.I.A.) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and will continue her studies to receive her CA designation in the future.
Nicole enjoys spending time with her two children and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Ron.

Pam Knowles
Pam
Knowles moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1964. She has twenty plus years of
professional experience and her diversified career has taken her from
banking, to accounting in industry, to spending the past twenty years
working in Public Practice with Doug Cameron. Pam's experience enables
her to handle a variety of aspects of accounting. From basic bookkeeping,
setting up accounting systems, to preparing financial statements, to
auditing, Pam's versatility makes her a valuable asset to our company.
Pam and her husband Larry maintain an active lifestyle. Pam is a member
of the Sunshine Coast Athletic Association which keeps fitness at the
forefront. You can usually see her jogging around town, sometimes
enduring a long run from Gibsons to Sechelt, participating in or teaching
aqua fit classes, taking yoga classes, or working on her golf swing at
the local courses. When she's not active athletically, she is also active
musically, and can be found sitting at her drum kit backing up local
musicians.
Pam has been actively involved with numerous local organizations over the
years. |

Emily Fenton
Emily
was born and raised in Sechelt and has been working in accounting since
1995. She joined The Coast Group in the fall of 2007 and is working
towards of her CA designation.
Emily has a keen, detailed oriented work ethic, which blends perfectly
with her dynamic personality. She has an adventurous spirit, enjoys time
spent outside, and with a spare moment alone she loves a long run.
Emily lives in West Sechelt with her children Douglas, Cole, and Tianna. |

Gordon Hardwicke
Gord
has experience in public practice and non-profit
accounting and is taking courses through the CA School of Business.
As a graduate in both Business
Administration and Business Technology, he provides our clients with both accounting and software solutions.
Gord enjoys researching, nature and genealogy. He lives with his wife Terri and enjoys spending time with his family and in our beautiful surroundings.

Alexis Harrington
Alexis
has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature from UBC and a
Diploma of Business Administration from Capilano College, and she is
currently continuing her studies towards her CGA designation.
Alexis' diverse background includes working in advertising, creative
writing, and the financial world, and all have proven her ability to
combine creative and analytical thinking.
Alexis is from Vancouver and spent all available time on the Sunshine
Coast her entire life. In August 2006, she moved to the Sunshine Coast
full time, and since then she has enjoyed every element of life on the
coast.
Alexis volunteers with the SC Botanical Garden Society, and she is a
director for both the SC Natural History Society and the Sargeant Bay
Society. Alexis enjoys the natural world, photography, and on a sunny
weekend, she can usually be found in her garden.

Ellen Rewuski
Ellen
Rewuski moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1993 and began working with Doug
Cameron at Cameron & Associates in 1995. Ellen's high level of
bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service skills along with many years
of professional experience, make her a favorite with the clients.
Ellen chose the Sunshine Coast as a healthy environment to raise her two
daughters. Like other members of The Coast Group staff, Ellen maintains
an active lifestyle power walking or participating in dragon boating. |

Cobi Vaughn
Cobi received her diploma in Business Administration from Capilano Universtity in 2010 and is currently working towards obtaining her CGA designation.
Cobi's experience with the full accounting cycle has given her the flexibility to answer not only our accounting needs, but bookkeeping support as well. She's our in-house QuickBooks expert and a resource person for our clients. Her extroverted personality enables her to communicate well with clients and build business relationships both in and out of the office.
Beyond work and school, Cobi enjoys spending time with her daughter, Marissa. In her spare time she can be found either relaxing on the beach, playing on her slo-pitch team or absorbed in a good book.
Cobi is also involved with her community and is currently the Treasurer of the Sechelt Minor Softball League.

Jessica Kaiser
Jessica and her husband, Andy, moved to the Sunshine Coast from Vancouver in the fall of 2009. She joined The Coast Group in September of 2012 and is working towards her CMA designation. Jessica brings to the team 15 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience working in small and medium sized private companies.
Jessica enjoys living a heathly and active lifestyle as well as spending time with friends and family. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, kayaking and reading. |

Jody Brooks-Flatt
Jody
Brooks-Flatt joined The Coast Group in September 2007. Jody is always
happy to greet you in the main reception area. She has worked as an
Administrative Assistant in our firm until the summer of 2010 and has now
assumed the role of Office Manager. As Office Manager she is responsible
for overseeing our Administrative staff and providing support to the
firm's accounting staff.
In her 25 years of customer service experience Jody has worked within the
community in many different professional capacities. Jody enjoys
providing the highest quality of service possible to all of our clients.
Jody grew up on the Sunshine Coast and is currently living in West
Sechelt with her husband Dann and their three sons. She loves spending
time with her family in the great outdoors as well as hiking and power
walking. She's passionate about knitting and when time allows, enjoys a
good book now and then. |

Karen Johnstone
Karen
joined The Coast Group in January of 2008 and enjoys her role as
Administrative Assistant. She works part-time in the reception area with
Jennifer and Jody. With a background in banking, clerking at the Canada
Revenue Agency, and more recently selling insurance for 13 years (eight
with Westland Insurance), Karen brings a background of varied experience
to her role.
Karen and her husband John moved to the Sunshine Coast from Coquitlam in
2000. The slower and more rural lifestyle was the big draw. Their two
children, Shana and Jay, reside in the lower mainland. When not at work,
Karen enjoys gardening, do-it-yourself projects and ballroom dancing. |

Jennifer Smith
Jennifer
joined The Coast Group team 2010. As an Administration Assistant, she
cheerfully greets our clients as they come into the office, answers and
directs calls and provides administration support for the firm on a full
time basis.
Jen has always worked in the customer service industry throughout her
career and brings with her 13 years of banking experience. The banking
industry has provided her with the necessary tools to ensure
confidentiality, accuracy and a commitment to excellent client service.
Jen and her husband Murray moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2005 from
Northern BC. She delights in the snowless winters and the beautiful
beaches the Coast has to offer. Together, with their two children, they
enjoy hiking, camping, playing squash, going to the beach, crabbing and
lounging on their deck with friends and family! |

Douglas I. Cameron, CGA
Retired April 2012
Doug
Cameron received his CGA designation in 1980. Doug began his own public
practice on the Sunshine Coast in 1987. Doug's practice, Cameron &
Associates, CGA continued up until the combination as part of The Coast Group Chartered Accountants in 2006.
Doug and his wife are active people and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that
the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Whether he is kayaking, horseback riding
or just out for a run, Doug is a person who appreciates a balanced
lifestyle.
Doug has also been involved in the community in many different capacities
and has been treasurer of the Sechelt Fire Protection District since
1994.

Brian Beecham, CA
Retired April 2009
Brian, who received his CA designation in 1967, began public practice on
the Sunshine Coast in 1979 after years of public practice in Whitehorse
and Vancouver.
In 2002, Brian went into partnership with Richard Wilson, forming Beecham Wilson
CA's which operated as such until the combination with Cameron &
Associates in 2006 when the new name, The Coast Group Chartered Accountants, was adopted.
In Brian's 35 plus years of professional experience, Brian has worked with
many different types and sizes of clients in many different industries
but has always specialized in work with owner-managed business and
personal taxes.
Brian had always been involved in the community in various capacities and has recently retired from the Board of
Directors of the Sunshine Coast Credit Union.
Brian and his wife now reside in Hope where they enjoy their two adult children
and five grandchildren.
